The Office of Budget and Financial Analysis (BFA) strives to advance the University’s strategic goals of student experience and success, research, public service, and healthcare by providing leadership with good information to underpin well-informed, data-driven business decisions. BFA supports strategic resource allocation decisions to facilitate the optimal use of UIC’s financial resources. BFA serves as a financial partner for the Office of the Chancellor, Provost, and Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs in the areas of financial planning, budget and financial policy analysis, and fiscal administration. BFA guides the annual budgetary process and tuition cycle and manages UIC’s campus reserves.

BFA resides within the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Finance, under the leadership of Interim Vice Chancellor Michael Ginsburg.
